Composition

Each bolus contains Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Ciprofloxacin 1000 mg.

Indications

Cipryl Bolus (Vet) is effective against several infections as Respiratory Tract infections, Gastro Intestinal infections, Enterotoxaemia, Skin, Bone & Ear infections, Anthrax, Swine dysentery, Uterine infections, Udder infections, Urinary Tract Infection etc.

Dosage Administration

Livestock- 1 bolus/75-150 kg body weight for 3-5 days.
Poultry- 1 bolus/15-20 liters water for 3-5 days.
or as directed by the registered Veterinarian.

Side Effects

Central nervous system (CNS) toxicity; gastrointestinal reactions; haematuria; hepatotoxicity; hypersensitivity reactions; Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (blistering, itching, peeling, or redness of skin; diarrhea).

Precautions

Animal receiving Ciprofloxacin should be well hydrated and should be instructed to drink fluids liberally. Because of the risk of crystalluria, it is recommended that the usual dosage of the drug should not be exceeded. Animal with a history of hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or to other quinolones should not be used.

Contraindications

Meat- 14 days, Milk- 3 days

Pregnancy Lactation

Intravenous doses of Ciprofloxacin of up to 20 mg/kg of body weight (mg/kg) in pregnant rats and mice have not shown evidence of maternal toxicity, embryo toxicity, or teratogenic effects. Ciprofloxacin can be distributed into milk, sometimes at a higher concentration than in plasma, but it is not known under what conditions significant amounts might be absorbed by
nursing animals.
