When exposed to Piperazine, worms suffer from hyperpolarization of their muscles which produces a reversible paralysis that prevents them from maintaining their position in the host’s gut and they are voided with the feces.

It is used in infestations caused by nematodes sensitive to piperazine, namely Ascaris, & Trichuris. It is safely active against all adult forms as well as against some evolutive stages of worms where it is found to be a drug of first choice.

Route of Administration: For oral use only.
Dosage: 10 gm powder in 6-8 liter of drinking water or 3.5 kg feed.
Number of poultry: 100 chicken (4-6 weeks) or 50-60 pullet (10 weeks) or 20-30 layers.
Ascarzin (Vet) Powder can be mixed properly with any kind of dry & liquid food.
Or as directed by the registered Veterinarian.

Common Side effects: Piperazine is very safe to use, the only occasional side effects are emesis and softening of the feces.
Rare side effects: Not known.

Food and drinking water should be stopped before 12 hours of administration of the piperazin.

It is contra-indicated in poultry & animals with known hypersensitivity to active ingredients or renal failure.

Can be used in Pregnancy, lactating animal & laying birds.

Meat- 3 days.
Egg- 2 days.

With Medicine: Concurrent use of piperazine & laxative may reduce the activity of piperazine. 
With Feed & Other: Not known.

Store below 30ºC temperature & dry place, protected from light.
Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
