Each gm powder contains- Neomycin Sulfate BP 700 mg.
- Mode of action
-
Neomycin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal aminoglycoside antibiotic. Which is active against Enterobacteriaceae, such as especially specific E.Coli group. It works through binding with ribosomal subunit of bacteria & thereby inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. After oral administration, only <5% is absorbed systemically & rest of the active ingredient remains in the gastrointestinal tract of the animal. Orally administered Neomycin is not affected by enzyme or feed.

Cattle & Poultry
Neoshin-70 (Vet) WSP is indicated for the prevention and treatment of bacterial enteritis in caused by bacteria which is susceptible to neomycin such as E. Coli, Salmonella spp. and campylobacter spp.
Fish/Shrimp
Neoshin-70 (Vet) WSP is useful in the treatment of exobacterial infections of fish such as: tail rot, skin rot, gram-negative bacteria and cocci infections. Neoshin-70 (Vet) WSP (vet) is also used in the treatment of enteritis.
- Dosage Administration

Route of Administration: For oral administration only.
Poultry: 1 gm/6-7 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Cattle: 10 mg/kg body weight for 3-5 days.
Fish/shrimp: 2 gm/20 kg feed for 5-7 days.
Or as directed by the registered Veterinarian.

Common Side effects: No side effects are observed when mentioned dosage regimen is followed correctly.
Rare side effects: Not known.
- Precautions

Aminoglycosides are eliminated through renal mechanism, so caution should be taken during using in neonatal & geriatric animals.
- Contraindications

Contraindicated in animals & birds hypersensitive to Neomycin.

Meat- 1 day & Egg- 0 (zero) Day.
- Drug Interaction

With medicine: Co-administration of Neomycin with oral penicilin reduces the penicilin absorbtion.
With feed & others: Not known.
- Storage

To be dispensed & sold only by the prescription of a registered Veterinarian & should not be used more than the mentioned amount in the prescription. Fulfill the course of antibiotics according to the advice of the registered Veterinarian.
Store below 30ºC temperature & dry place, protected from light.
