Promethazine is a phenothiazine derivative with histamine H1-blocking, antimuscarinic and sedative properties. It is used as an antiallergic, in pruritus, for motion sickness and sedation.

Promethazine, is an H1-antagonist with anticholinergic, sedative and antiemetic effects and also some local anesthetic properties. Like other H1-antagonists, promethazine competes with free histamine for binding at H1-receptor sites in the GI tract, uterus, large blood vessels and bronchial muscle.

For the treatment of allergic disorders and nausea/vomiting, urticaria, rhinitis, insects bite, serum sickness, anaphylactic shock, drug allergy, synovitis, milk allergy and as supportive therapy on milk fever, laminitis, mastitis, pulmonary emphysema. 

Animals-1 bolus per 75 kg body weight orally once daily. 
Poultry-1 bolus per 5 litter of drinking water twice daily.
or as directed by the resistered Veterinarian.

Shillergen Bolus (vet) has no side effects when used in recommended dose. Symptoms of overdose include mild depression of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system to profound hypotension, respiratory depression, unconsciousness, and sudden death.

Promethazine hydrochloride should be used cautiously in animals with cardiovascular disease or with impairment of liver function.

Shillergen Bolus (vet) is contraindicated for animals who have exhibited hypersensitivity to this drug or other Phenothiazine derivatives.

After using Shillergen Bolus (vet) milk should not be used for 4 days.

On average, 88% of a promethazine dose is absorbed after oral administration; however, the absolute bioavailability is only 25% because of first-pass clearance.

Symptoms of overdose include mild depression of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system to profound hypotension, respiratory depression, unconsciousness, and sudden death. 

Store at a temperature below 30⁰C, protected from light & keep in dry place. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

Each box contains 10 × 4 bolus in blister strip.
