Mode of action

Phenylbutazone has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and mild uricosuric properties. The proposed mechanism of action is by the inhibition of cyclooxygenase, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Following oral administration, phenylbutazone is absorbed from both the stomach and small intestine, the drug is distributed throughout the body with highest levels attained in the liver, heart, lungs, kidneys and blood.
Bromhexine supports the body's own natural mechanisms for clearing mucus from the respiratory tract. It increases the production of serous mucus in the respiratory tract and makes the phlegm thinner and less sticky. It helps the cilia that line the respiratory tract to transport the phlegm out of the lungs. Combination of Phenylbutazone and Bromhexine makes a rapid therapeutic effect to recover from respiratory diseases.
